OUR HERITAGE

The Story of Nepalese Tea

Nepal’s tea culture has grown quietly over centuries, shaped by trade, geography, and the patience of those who work the land. Today, its teas remain defined not by scale, but by care.

A Landscape That Defines the Leaf

Nepal’s varied landscape, from rolling hills to high-altitude slopes, creates the conditions for teas of clarity and character. Grown at elevations ranging from low hills to over 4,000 metres, each garden reflects its own microclimate, season, and rhythm.

Rather than large-scale production, much of Nepal’s tea is still shaped by small growers. Leaves are gathered by hand, following methods refined over generations, with attention given to timing, balance, and restraint.

Each harvest is processed in small batches using established techniques, allowing the natural structure and flavour of the leaf to remain intact. What results is not uniformity, but individuality, tea that reflects where and how it was grown.

From Mountain to Cup

Each tea in our collection begins in a specific region of Nepal. We trace every leaf back to its growing zone — shaped by altitude, climate, and local practice — so origin is not an idea, but something you can see.
