Subtropical highland with warm, humid summers
Our hibiscus flowers flourish in Nepal's hilly countryside, where rolling hills create natural microclimates perfect for cultivating vibrant florals. At elevations between 1,200 and 2,000 meters, these mid-altitude gardens benefit from consistent moisture, warm summer temperatures, and well-draining hillside soils enriched by seasonal monsoons. The terraced landscape allows each plant to receive optimal sunlight while natural drainage prevents root saturation.
This unique geography—neither the extreme cold of high mountain peaks nor the intense heat of the lowland plains—creates ideal conditions for developing hibiscus flowers with concentrated flavor compounds and rich pigmentation. The diurnal temperature variation between warm days and cool nights encourages the plants to produce the complex acids and sugars that define our hibiscus tea's characteristic sweet-tart balance.
