About Hibiscus Strawberry Lemongrass Mix Tea

Hibiscus Strawberry Lemongrass Tea: hibiscus, dried strawberry pieces and lemongrass

Hibiscus, strawberry and lemongrass

Three ingredients: dried hibiscus for colour and tartness, dried strawberry pieces for fruit and a little sweetness, and lemongrass for a fresh, lemony finish. It brews a deep pink-red and tastes like a fruit tea should, sharp and juicy rather than perfumed.

It is caffeine-free. Brew one to two teaspoons in boiling water for five to seven minutes, then taste before you sweeten; the strawberry does some of that work already. Hot, it is a good winter fruit tea. Cold, it is the tea most people in the range reach for in summer.

For iced tea, brew it strong, chill it, and pour it over ice with a slice of lemon or a few mint leaves. It also cold-brews well: a heaped tablespoon in a litre of cold water overnight in the fridge.

Questions about Hibiscus Strawberry Lemongrass Mix Tea

Brewing, caffeine, taste and pack size. For more, read the brewing guide or ask Petal, our tea guide, in the corner of the page.

Is Hibiscus Strawberry Lemongrass Tea caffeine-free?

Yes. It contains hibiscus, dried strawberry and lemongrass, none of which have caffeine. It suits the afternoon and evening as well as the morning.

How do I make it as iced tea?

Brew it at double strength for six or seven minutes, sweeten it while hot if you want to, then cool it and pour over plenty of ice. Or cold-brew a heaped tablespoon in a litre of cold water in the fridge overnight.

What does it taste like?

Tart and fruity. The hibiscus gives it a cranberry-like sharpness, the strawberry gives it a jammy sweetness underneath, and the lemongrass adds a clean citrus note at the end.

What size pack is it?

It comes in a 75g box, our largest pack. At about two grams per cup that is roughly 37 cups, and you can also try it as a free 10g sample.
